Wordless Wednesday

November 18, 2009

This is a project I’ve been working on solo for a while, and just recently launched at our temple. You read about it recently in this post here. The girls came to help me set up the basket and my posters & signage. They posed so I could submit photos to The Jewish Chronicle. Hoping to get more people on board. If you still haven’t done so, please check out Terracycle and find out how to begin your own brigade! It’s fun to be green! You’ll get extra brownie points for involving your kiddos and teaching them about being kind to our planet and recycling.

BTW, do you guys keep a tzedakah in your home? I was thinking of doing so with my kids, just wondering…

I chuckled when I read, "The Jewish Chronicle."

    I swear I love Jews.

    I even capitalize it!

I swear. I'm not laughing at you.

    Jews.

    Your girls are so cute!

You have the Jewish Chronicle and we have the Catholic Herald! What do you think the Protestants have? Or the Hindus?

Way to lead and set the example. After reading your other article about recycling, I mentioned some of the things I learned from it, to a number of people. I got "oh really?" with blank stares.

    Great! =)

We recently put different trash bins at our school, one for papers, another one for plastics, and another one for organics. They have hanged big posters explaining the white ones are for organics, and so on.

Needless to say, the organics one is full of packages and the papers one full of food leftovers. What’s wrong with people? Can’t they read a sign right?
